Your own domain name: why it matters, for 5 €
yourshop.com is easier to remember, looks more professional and is yours for good. Here is why it is worth it.

Your Etsy address is etsy.com/shop/YourShop. Your Shopify store starts at yourshop.myshopify.com. Neither looks like a real brand. Your own domain name does.
Why it matters
- Easy to remember and to say out loud at a market or on Instagram
- Looks professional on packaging, business cards and labels
- Buyers trust it more at checkout
- It is yours: if you ever change platform, your address stays the same
- Google gives you credit for your own name over time
How to choose it
Keep it short, the same as your shop name if possible, without hyphens or numbers. A .com works everywhere; a country ending like .fr or .de reassures local buyers.
